Chamber Training Series 3: Rules & Policies

Setting Rules, Policies & Dealing with Discipline

The starting point for your department or organization is setting rules and policies to guide your employees. What do you have in place now? We will discuss the six rules of setting rules. We will provide effective ways to communicate the rules. Has the pandemic resulted in more rules, confusion, change, uncertainty? We will discuss the current rules and policies related to the pandemic.
What if one or more employees are not following the rules? What are the different approaches? We will discuss a number of proactive next steps.
One of those next steps is progressive discipline. If used appropriately, discipline is an effective management tool. For most employees, a disciplinary discussion or warning will result in improved performance and behavioural change. We will provide the tools you need to handle an employee discussion and discipline meeting.

Join us for this half-day program which will provide you with hands on tools to deal with setting rules and effective ways to respond if the rules are not followed.
